Request deletion without the app
Email support@vout.app with the subject “VOUT account deletion request”. Tell us which network (Mainnet or Testnet4) and account you want to delete. Include your VOUT username, if you have one, or a public wallet address associated with that account. You do not need to create a username to request deletion.
We will reply with the steps to verify that the account is yours. Sending a request does not itself delete data. Never send a recovery phrase, private key, device passcode, or backup password.
After ownership is verified, the linked online account and associated personal data can be deleted. You will receive confirmation when the request is completed. A web or email request cannot erase wallet files or exported backups stored on your own devices.
Delete directly in VOUT
Select the wallet account and network, then open Settings → Account & privacy → Delete VOUT account. Save the required backups, review the deletion scope, and authenticate with your device. You do not need to contact support for this flow.
When the confirmation includes removing this wallet from the device, its local recovery material and Bitcoin/RGB wallet data will also be removed. Without your saved recovery phrase or private key you can lose access to funds; RGB assets also require a full VOUT backup. This does not transfer funds or reverse transactions.
What is deleted
The selected account’s online profile, username, uploaded personal files, messages, group memberships, notifications, and associated social and points records. Other wallet accounts and networks are not included in the request.
What remains
Blockchain transactions and public asset proofs cannot be erased. Other users’ content and copies they have independently saved remain; shared groups may continue with another owner. Backups you exported elsewhere are not deleted.
A minimal completion receipt, without the original account identifier or public key, is retained for about 30 days to handle deletion retries safely. See the Privacy Policy for data handling and retention details.
